Some summer night it rocked
In red and white and blue

The Queen waved too

Warm air smelled of ale
Sound of dancing feet
The joy that filled the air yeah

When autumn came along
The darkness and the chill
I never thought of leaving
Just standing still

The Guys were in the backyard
Each one in a seat
And carried to the hill to burn
Up from their feet

Pudding stones on bowling greens
A place to call our own
